Information on Entrance Examination（Master's Program）Admission in 2013

Written Examination
English
Choose one of the following examination options.
(1) Submit a valid TOEFL score sheet with an application form.
(2) Take TOEFL-ITP* that will be held by Department of Socio-Cultural Environmental Studies on August. Applicant who wishes to take TOEFL-ITP should check appropriate box on the Inquiry Sheet.
* TOEFL-ITP is an "Institutional Testing Program" of TOEFL and Department of Socio-Cultural Environmental Studies utilizes it as a part of entrance examination. The score of TOEFL-ITP is valid only for the entrance examination and not for any other purposes. The applicant will not notify the score.
(3) Both (1) and (2). In this case, higher score will be taken as the applicant's English score.
Specialized Subjects
1. Fundamental Specialized Subject
Solve common problems to demonstrate the ability of logical thinking.
2. Specialized Subjects for Individual Fields
Solve one of selective problems concerning some keywords.

Oral Examination
An applicant is examined about basic scholastic ability, areas of interest, motivation and commitment.

Admission in October is allowed to Japanese/foreign applicants who satisfy the specified criteria (see p.4 of "Guide to the Entrance Examination (Environmental Studies)").

Selection Procedure
Selection is made on the basis of the First Examination and the Second Examination. In the First Examination, Written Examination and Oral Examination are carried out. In the Second Examination, the presentation of the master’s thesis or equivalent work is carried out.
